Hilaria Baldwin's Grounding Bowl

The Grounding Bowl brings together all the basics and boasts a range of flavors that are anything but basic. With root veggies, lentils, and Ginger-Carrot Dressing, this recipe strikes a perfect balance between nutritious and delicious. It's a balance that Hilaria Baldwin strikes time and again in her new book The Living Clearly Method, which serves up an abundance of wisdom for a fit body, healthy mind and joyful life.

1 cup cooked grain
1 1/2 cup lentils
1 cup root veggies
1 cup greens
2 large carrots, roughly chopped (about 2 cups)
4 tbsp jarred minced ginger
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup brown rice vinegar
1/4 cup tamari or reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp honey

1. Combine your grain of choice, lentils, root veggies of choice, and greens of choice in a bowl.

 

2. Top off with Baldwin's Ginger-Carrot Dressing. To make the dressing, add carrots, ginger, garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey into a blender and blend until smooth. 

 

3. Enjoy!

 

**Note: The dressing makes more than one serving. Add two tablespoons to your bowl and save the rest in the refrigerator.
