  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups milk


1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.


2. In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.


3. In a separate bowl mix oil, melted butter, honey, eggs, and milk. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients. Mix until well incorporated.


4. Pour into a greased 10-inch pan.


5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, cut into 8 square pieces, and serve.
