Viewer Janice offered this avocado bowl recipe, a great way to shut down hunger cravings, whether in the midmorning, lunch, or late afternoon. Avocado is one of the best fats around; it's creamy inside is rich in monounsaturated fat. According to Dr. Mark Hyman, it's not fat that makes you fat. It's sugar and refined carbs that turn on your hunger switch. So when your hunger sets in during that midday slump, try out this avocado recipe to avoid quickly becoming hungry again. The fats in avocados are super fuels; they will boost your metabolism and cut your hunger at the same time.

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

1. Cut the avocado in half

2. Take the pit out with a knife. Use the space where the stone used to be as a little bowl for the salad dressing. Mix the olive oil and vinegar to make a homemade vinagrette, and drizzle the dressing in the hole.

3. Scoop the avocado out with a spoon.
