Rocco DiSpirito's Garlic Bread

Garlic bread can contain up to 790 calories! While cheesy garlic bread made from white bread is delicious, chef Rocco DiSpirito has a healthier version in mind. Try out his trick for making garlic bread lower in calories.

1 whole wheat baguette
2 tbsp garlic
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp parsley

1. Toast the baguette in an oven set to 350°F. Then, cut in half, rub with garlic, and toast open-faced for eight minutes. 

 

2. Saturate the bread in chicken broth and then season with cheese and parsley. Bake for three minutes. Cut and serve.
