Rocco DiSpirito’s Healthy Scotch Egg

Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito is always looking for health ways improve his favorite recipes. That's why he used ground turkey in this delicious scotch egg recipe that gives you double the protein with triple the taste!


  • 4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • herbs of your choice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste


1. In a bowl, mix together the ground turkey, salt, pepper and herbs of your choice.


2. Separate the ground turkey into four portions and shape them around the hard-boiled eggs. 


3. Coat the meatballs in egg and then dip them in flour. 


4. Heat the oil on a sauce pan and fry the meatballs for about five minutes or until they appear cooked.
