Strawberry Banana Semifreddo

This fruity dessert is ready in no time and will definitely impress your guests. You can serve it in a bowl or you can put a dollop on your favorite cookie, put it back into the freezer and have delicious ice cream bites.

Makes 4 servings (1 serving = 3/4 cup)

1 ripe banana
2 cups strawberries
3/4 cup reduced fat cream cheese
1/3 cup reduced fat sour cream
1/2 lemon juice
1/4 cup honey

Puree all ingredients in a food processor until completely smooth. Transfer to a shallow metal bowl and store in freezer for about 1/2 hour. Then scrape down the sides of the bowl and thoroughly mix the cream with a fork to achieve your desired frozen consistency. It will depend on your container, the temperature of your freezer and, of course, the temperature of your original cream.

Don't let it get too hard; it will freeze solid if left too long in the freezer. If you want to soften the cream, store it in the fridge until it achieves desired consistency when stirred.
