With the help of a few spices, bone broth, which is made by simmering animal bones in water so they release collagen, can be transformed into the same healing beverage without the hefty price tag. The turmeric in this recipe can help reduce inflammation and further relieve pain, and the vitamin-packed ghee is lactose-free, making the beverage suitable for those with sensitive stomachs.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz chicken bone broth
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • sea salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp ghee

Directions

1. Pour the bone broth into a saucepan and bring it to a simmer on the stovetop. 

 

2. Whisk in the turmeric, sea salt, and lemon juice. Simmer for two to three minutes.

 

3. Remove from heat and transfer the liquid into a high-speed blender. Add the ghee and blend on medium-high for one minute until frothy. Pour into mugs and serve.
