Warm Iron-Rich Protein Smoothie

No longer do smoothies have to be cold to be enjoyable. Change the temperature of your typical smoothie for a drink that is sure to please. This smoothie makes for a hearty breakfast drink that will warm you up on a cold winter morning and fuel your body with vitamins and minerals all day long.

4 cups leafy greens
4 unsweetened, pitted dates (not dried)
1/4 cup gluten-free oats
1 tsp chia seeds
1 cup warm almond milk
1 banana

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
