What Your Body Language Says About Your Health

Body language sends powerful messages about what you’re thinking and feeling – but that’s not all. Nonverbal cues could also provide insight about your health. The expression on your face, the way you sit, stand or walk all could be valuable clues. Learn about the hidden signals your body is sending you and what they mean for your health.

Bright Red Tongue

A bright red, inflamed tongue could mean a special type of anemia caused by a deficiency in vitamin B12. This is common in older people who have issues absorbing vitamins from their foods, and is also frequent in vegetarians, since B12 is commonly found in meats. If you’re experiencing fatigue, loss of appetite or constipation, you could be B12 deficient. Talk to your doctor to discuss testing.
