What Your Body Language Says About Your Health

Body language sends powerful messages about what you’re thinking and feeling – but that’s not all. Nonverbal cues could also provide insight about your health. The expression on your face, the way you sit, stand or walk all could be valuable clues. Learn about the hidden signals your body is sending you and what they mean for your health.

Sitting Too Straight

Sitting up too straight can also cause health problems. Your spine has two natural curves; overextending your back could lead to back problems, since the discs in your spine are more likely to move out of place when you’re upright at 90 degrees. Place a cushion or rolled up towel between the curve of your spine and the back of your seat to maintain the natural curve of your spine. Get up every half-hour to stretch.
