Aimee Copeland was a healthy, energetic 24-year-old when she became infected with a rare flesh-eating bacteria after a zip-lining accident. Aimee was stricken with necrotizing fasciitis, a potentially deadly infection caused by different kinds of dangerous bacteria that can result in multi-organ failure.
