With much of the country working from home during the pandemic, gone are the days of the morning commute. Instead of driving to work or riding the train, we're moving from one room in our house to another. It's blurring the lines between our personal and professional lives! And it's not good for our mental health.
So what can you do to restore some of that work-life balance?
Have a "fake commute!"
Yes, that means doing something in the morning that can help you prepare for the workday ahead. That could be going for a quiet drive around town, doing a restorative yoga session, or taking a walk with some good music. You can also do this at the end of your workday to decompress.
Whatever you choose, do something that separates your work and your time with your family so your present for both.
